Year Two students at Victoria Avenue have had a very busy term this term learning about keeping our 'Oceans Alive'. They have had many different visitors to help them learn about what we can do better to care for our oceans and the animals that live in it.
Year Two students also visited the Visy recycling centre where they saw how plastic, glass, paper and cardboard is recycled.
A highlight of their study was a trip to Omana Regional Park where they learnt about how rubbish that people drop can harm a natural environment such as the beach. They had a fabulous day exploring the rockpools and the beach and of course they made sure they left no rubbish behind.
